Data Scientist




As a data scientist at 10x you’ll help create the world’s most remarkable data-driven, self-improving, products and services that add value to people’s lives.


You’ll work on a range of remarkable projects, such as:

  • Creating products and services which create genuine value
  • Using data to create hyper-personalised products, services and experiences for consumers
  • Analysing data collected from a range of different technologies (bots, distributed sensors, etc.) to answer strategic questions
  • Helping clients understand who their customers are and what they want
  • Devising data-driven experiments to learn the truth behind initial assumptions



  • Degree in computer science, maths, physics, machine learning
  • 1-2yrs experience in data science used in a marketing capacity
  • Experience in a web economy or other tech environment featuring high volumes of complex and occasionally imperfect data (aka from a direct-to-consumer brand (e.g. Skyscanner, ASOS, eBay) gaming (, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Python, R or similar and familiarity with libraries such as Pandas and SciKit-Learn
  • Experience developing, deploying, testing and continually improving data science solutions including tools; dashboards and automated solutions
  • Keen interest in machine learning and its application to drive success
  • Experience of big data technologies e.g. Apache Hadoop
  • Proven expertise in statistics – Bayesian Optimisation, Quantitative Data Analysis including statistical tests, predictive analysis, trend distributions
  • Visualising and presenting data & analysis to technical and non-technical decision makers in a readily understood form
  • Leverage different forms of analytical applications such as data discovery, customer profiling, customer segmentations, predictive modelling, design of experiments (inferential statistics), post-action measurement, what-if analysis, etc.
  • Make the most appropriate use of advanced methods from the fields of statistics, data mining, or machine learning (regressions, decisions trees, neural networks, K-means, survival analysis).
